General Overview From Appraisal: The vessel was inspected on shore at Matapeake Facility on Kent Island on April 3, 2006 at 1000 hrs.
The overall condition appears fair to good with no major or cosmetic damage found. The finish of the exterior surfaces is oxidized and shows a general lack of maintenance.
A structural inspection found no damaged or compromised framing, stringers or bulkheads.
The running gear to include, struts, rudders, propellers and shafts appears to be in good serviceable condition.
The cockpit and helm appears in good order. All exterior upholstery and canvas are worn from age and exposure.
Helm steering and engine controls are free and operational.
There is an array of electronic equipment is all dated by today's standards.
The interior appears worn and dirty. Carpets and upholstery are rough. The interior headliner and all interiors of cabinets are covered with mildew from the vessel being closed up for an extended period of time.
All galley, entertainment, climate control systems and lighting systems appear to be in serviceable condition. The interior will require extensive cosmetic rejuvenation.
The engine room and bilges are dirty but appear organized with all major equipment and engines secure.
All rubber hoses on engines, intake and seawater systems and fuel systems appear original and stiff from age. All hoses should be inspected and replaced as necessary before the vessel is returned to service.
The main engines and auxiliary generator appear in fair condition with cosmetic rust and corrosion from age and exposure. The engines and all systems appear to have been properly secured and winterized.
It was reported by yard personnel that the engines, generator and systems were operational when the vessel was secured and put in storage. The mechanical condition could not be confirmed at this inspection.
The operational condition of the propulsion and mechanical systems could not be confirmed, due to the vessel being dry docked with all systems secured and batteries were found completely discharged.
Overall the vessel would be considered in fair condition needing work both cosmetically and mechanically to bring it up to the condition of vessels of similar age.
The extent of the work required can only be confirmed with a complete pre-purchase inspection and sea trials.
