Natural Resources Police Charge Annapolis Man For Selling Yachts Without License, Theft
ANNAPOLIS — After investigating numerous complaints from the public, today Maryland Natural Resources Police charged John J. Regan, owner of Associated Yachts of Annapolis, with operating a yacht dealership without a permit and removing Maryland validation stickers from a vessel to use on nonlicensed vessel.
Maryland Law requires that a manufacturer or dealer may not conduct business in the state unless licensed as a manufacturer or dealer pursuant to regulations the Department adopts.
The maximum penalty for this offense is $500. Regan’s court date has not been set.
The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) is an enforcement arm of the Department of Natural Resources. With an authorized strength of 214 officers and a dedicated staff of civilian and volunteer personnel, the Natural Resources Police provide a variety of services in addition to conservation and boating law enforcement duties throughout the State of Maryland. These services include search and rescue, emergency medical services, education, information and communications services on a round the clock basis. NRP is the only police force aside from the Maryland State Police that has statewide jurisdiction.
