The water lay out before me,
Sparkling like a thousand jewels.
The sun danced over her crescent waves.
Some birds chirp and fly away,
As the trees sway and moan,
To the unheard music of nature.
The sun beats down, and the trees lean forward,
Drinking in the warmth of the light.
A frog garumps nearby,
And a bush is disturbed as a startled
Squirrel races away,
Scared by an untold fea.
Then, it is still as the silence descends,
Settling like a blanket over the watery shallows,
And shielding the bay from the world once more.
