MD Fur Trappers Association's
Junior Trapper Education Day

Join us for a day of fun and learning! 

Topics will include: stewardship of natural resources, furbearer biology and natural history, furbearer regulations and ethics, trapping methods, and fur handling techniques.

  • Participation is open to all students 16 years of age or younger. 
  • There is no fee. 
  • Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. 
  • Some of the instruction will be in the field, rain or shine.
  • Dress for the weather.
  • Waterproof boots are recommended. 
  • Bring a bag lunch. 
  • Soft drinks and snacks will be provided. 
  • Pre-registration is required.

Directions: From Salisbury, MD, take Rt. 50 East approx. 14 miles to flashing lights in Willard’s.  Turn right (south) on Rt. 354, go 4.7 miles to Rt. 374 (just past the town of Powellville).  Turn left (east) on Rt. 374, go approx. 2 miles to Sandyfield Rd. (first road on right after crossing the Pocomoke River).  Turn right and follow signs.
